We just finished our second major event of the year in Rogersville, Alabama. We were honored to have 19 veterans participate in our friendly catfishing competition. Each veteran was taken out by 19 volunteer boaters who graciously gave their time and showed our veterans how to catch trophy catfish. Our veterans and our boaters came from all over the US. We were blessed with great weather and had a great time on the water. Everyone was able to catch fish with the majority catching their personal best in this event. Our banquet was held at The Cotton Gin where our veterans were treated to some great food and drinks. The atmosphere was filled with stories, laughter and comradery. New friendships were made and several boaters and veterans are planning to fish together again. Austin Williams, a talented young man who wanted to show his gratitude for our military performed for our guests on Friday night. Our event was a success with the hard work of our PCF family, volunteers and sponsors. Each veteran was given a rod, reel and gift bag full of goodies.
